[GTALUG] Removing snapd from Ubuntu

Stuart, would you mind sharing your experience removing snapd from Ubuntu?
I'd love to learn how you managed to do it. I'd be happy to get rid of
snapd, too. I have started a new thread because it's clearly off-topic to
the original thread.
