Does KDE really suck this much?

I consider KDE to be a "better gnome than gnome" these days. Unity is a
mess, imo, and KDE gives me a more gnome 2 experience.
There are things I don't like about it but those are easily ignored. I
switched about 2 years ago and haven't looked back. (I had tried and given
up on KDE several times in the past too.)
