I saw it in use a few days ago. It has limited networking (no ICMP,
only sockets like UDP and TCP it seems), and it often hangs if there is
too much network traffic.
It would seem it is not an emulator of a true device, but rather tries
to emulate most of the core so that an app will run on top of it and
think it is on a real device.
