Because graphical web browsers are hate to avoid.  links only gets you
so far.  At least most browsers  have shortcuts for the address line,
and you can use pgup/down and space to scroll quickly.  Tab between form
fields is nice too.

I hate trackballs most of all.  At least mice work well if you do happen
to need to do something graphical.  But I much prefer controlling things
with a nice efficient accurate keyboard.

But it is move click move click.  I can type those 7 characters a lot
faster than that.

Also depends on your typing speed and accuracy.
