Quite so and I do that myself. However, if someone is hired on the
basis that they're expected to work unpaid overtime, I wonder how much
luck they'd have getting time off? Also, some companies hire
"contractors" as a means around some labour laws or to deny benefits.
Microsoft was convicted of that a few years back.
