I'm sorry if it looked like I would pull the plug on a whim, I see how
that would shake your planning, but honestly thought, with the
enthusiasm expressed here, that under half a dozen confirmed attendees
was highly unlikely, and might serve to shake a little commitment
outta the crowd. As a result of this, I'm revising my approach to
holding workshops at the caffe. I do hope we can work together on
this, even if you decide to hold this one elsewhere.

I might even be able to cadge cable from the neighbours upstairs...
just need to know what the plan is.

again, my apologies if I seemed to be ready to pull the rug out from
under you. The whole workshop thing needs to be revised and
formalised.

Yes, I see your point here, too, Colin, and I don't think it a minor
one, at all. We're just used to our calendar calling any event
scheduled at linuxcaffe a "linuxcaffe event" and it was not intended
to claim ownership of anything. Thank you for raising this. Who's
event would this be ? Who's the "Producer" ? In future, I will be sure
to refer to something like this as "event at linuxcaffe" unless we are
producing the event.

Colin, I'm truly sorry and mortified. It was in no way intended as
such and, in retrospect, I can see clearly how my actions could be
interpreted as you did. Although I am sure to blunder and offend
elsewhere, I will try and learn from this one.
I remain at your service,
David J Patrick
