OT: Recommendations on e-mail providers?

If you want POP3/SMTP maybe 295.ca? I've been using it for a couple of
years. $2.95/month for pretty reliable dialup access (read: backup
internet for all you highspeeders), and it gives you a POP e-mail
address and webspace as well.

Only downside is the SMTP uses only port 25, so make sure your other
internet connections don't block it.

Other than that I would second the recommendation of Gmail. It offers
POP3/SMTP for free as well.
