Hmm, I don't have (and can't find) tue 'install-bmr' program. At any 
rate, It is looking like it's a 48-bit addressing limit on the IDE to 
USB2 controller (an undocumented one). I got my hand on another 250GB 
USB2 drive and it came up just fine.

*sigh*
