It was a DVD+R disc. My DVD player says it can handle both DVD-R and
DVD+R (and RW), and the +R discs worked okay with copies of pressed DVDs I
had made with vobcopy.
(BTW, these copies were of discs I had purchased legally, and the copies
are for my own personal use.)
