I think that the best plan of attack for a newbie would be to wait until
you have acquired the new larger hard drive. Then copy the contents of
your existing drive to it and install the new drive as the primary
master on your system. The old drive can be installed as a slave which
you can then safely erase and use for your Fedora install. You can
resize NTFS partitions with the 'parted' utility, but its also easy to
hose your system if you've not used it before.
