i've always been an asus fan. more expensive, but mine's lasted about 4years
without even a hiccup. and that's after a great deal of meddling on my
behalf, new ram, new heatsync, various other hardware changes etc.

my buddy had a gigabit motherboard and i can say without hesitation that it
sucked bigtime.

i also have an intel board that while somewhat flakey (it appears to not start
sometimes... not sure why. but after a few attempts, it works) it's ok,
'cause it is a pentiumII 233... can't expect much from something that old
and heavily used.
