The cable modem signals are merely occupying a certain bandwidth (frequency
range). Different sizes or types of cables only affects the attenuation of
this signal, so it is either working or not. It should not affect throughput
(barring no other inconsistencies or intermittent problems in the passive
and active equipment through the network).

As for the total capacity in Mbps, I am not sure what it is... :-)
