Being one of those who spends the majority of their time *not* running
X, I've been looking at some of the more unusual console based programs
out there. There's some crazy stuff out there. One thing I thought
I might find that I never did is a console graphic equalizer or audio
responsive "visualization" program: ansi-extace :)
I suppose such a program would either have to be tied into a
mp3/ogg/wav/whatever-floats-your-boat player or somehow get it's info
using an esd style strategy. My c++ skills are pretty pathetic, and
I've never programmed anything using ncurses, but i assume that would
be the thing to use for something like this.
Has anyone heard of any programs that attempt this bizarre idea?
