If I recall correctly -- though I never experienced it -- that font
problem (evo choosing the 1st font listed) was not specific to IMAP.

Not related to IMAP, but the 1.4 release is still stabilizing -- there
are quite a few things that seem like they will be resolved in 1.4.5. 
(I am not on a platform with a Red-carpet's Evolution 1.4 snapshot
available).

Don't know, I suffer ;-) with evo.  It would surprise me if they do not
do at least as good of a job.
