[GTALUG] Wireless Bridge - Asus RP-N12 N300 Repeater

This sort of conundrum makes me wonder if reasonably priced,  directional wifi antennas are available.  Online discussions have demoed some parabolic dish like ones with a reported range of 3 miles (probably more for industrial or government scouting uses (like aerial mounted). But something small that is directional would likely be useful for people in difficult  RF fixes. I wonder if a lower-cost model is even available. Would be curious if anyone has encountered any?
