Netflix works fine for me on Firefox (65.0.1, Ubuntu 18.10 on x86_64).
Your distro may have turned off Widevine: Tools → Add-ons → Plugins,
then make sure that "Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by
Google Inc." is allowed.
