Hi Stewart,

I will agree that this doesn't get covered on the list often, because 
honestly it hasn't really changed since GTALUG was made into a 
non-profit corporation back in 2003. That doesn't mean it's not talked 
about at all, actually, it does get covered as part of every AGM, and 
occasional reminders at the in-person meetings.


It boils doing as follows.

* You have to be a member to vote in the board election.
* If you are voted to become a member of the board, and are not yet a 
member, you must become a member within 10 days.

Membership is $20 for the year.

* Covers the costs of running the server for our mailing-list and website.

Details about how much we bring in and where it goes is covered by the 
Treasury report at the AGM.
