Interesting project. I don't think I'll be making it any time soon for my 
own Pi. I'm not into Steampunk but I have seen a number of people in 
Steampunk themed costumes and other Steampunk themed items over the years.

My favourite for Steampunk themed items is the treatment of a keyboard and 
monitor seen in this project:
