How can I find exact version of GPU driver running on my Kubuntu Linux

I've been fighting a battle to understand and fix a GPU hang error on my Kubuntu 
system.    My system uses the Intel i915 driver.     I've upgraded to the 
"latest and greatest" according to 01.org/linuxgraphics.     Still no joy.

How can I find the version number of the i915 driver which is installed and 
running?
