Chris,

You're right in that it's more expensive than Raspberry Pi, but it does 
have a gigabit Ethernet port instead of 100 Mbit port.  It also has a 
TOSLINK/Optical S/PDIF output and more RAM.   It would make a great 
thin-client or even better XBMC box.
