Does your personal website have a tagging system for associating a
portion of a photo to a personal profile, thus helping to train a
massive facial recognition system? No? Even if your website tied
photos to names reliably, it seems unlikely it would be API-compatible
with Facebook's system. Personal websites can be scraped for
information, but posting information there instead of on Facebook
substantially reduces the amount of data the major players can get and
makes it more difficult for them to get that information.
