Solved - Debian update - keyboard unresponsive

The updated system was having problems with udevadm trigger.
This is a known bug
Debian Bug report logs - #593083
This fix is from the bug report
In single user mode
cd /etc/rc2.d/
mv S02udev K02udev
init 6
