Your point is certainly valid. To defend the designer though, I've been
through the same thing. I waited until a client was a full 90 passed the
due date of an invoice before I did the same thing. I didn't go so far
as this person did (I used a generic "site is currently unavailable"
error page). Had the client still not paid though, when I wrote their
bill off, I'd have probably done the same as a community service.
Thankfully it didn't come to that.
