The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 vlc-nox : Depends: libavcodec52 (>= 4:0.5.1-1) but it is not going to
           be installed or
                    libavcodec-extra-52 (>= 4:0.5.1-1) but it is not
                    installable
           Depends: libavformat52 (>= 4:0.5.1-1) but it is not going to
                    be installed or
                    libavformat-extra-52 (>= 4:0.5.1-1) but it is not
                    installable
E: Broken packages

Further down the rabbit hole is this:

# apt-show-versions libavcodec52
libavcodec52/unknown uptodate 5:0.6.1+svn20101128-0.2

It is a funny little situation. Normally, as I wrote, these are easily
unwedged, but perhaps not today. I'll bump to unstable if I want to
watch anything tonight.
