I had tried that on a G4 Mac a couple of years ago. Both ports and fink
sucked, though for different reasons if I recall. I can't remember my
specific complaints but I remember lots of frustration and giving up in
disgust. It might be better with a faster machine like my i5 MacBook
Pro. I haven't cared enough to try.
