Assigning different titles to 2 instances of GIMP?

Given the gimp can handle multiple files at once, I am courious what
circumstance would make having two instances useful.

Now gtk options (as shown by gimp --help-all) seems to say gimp
--name=FooGimp should work, but it does not.  Seems the gimp doesn't
actually obey the gtk options.  Probably because it is multi window and
explicitly controls the window titles.
