No sound in ubuntu 10.04 under X-Windows

i havn't tried it yet (10.10) but the news earlier was they were
supposed to be coming out with an "app store",
so if what you see has product that can cost money, I am thinking
thats the app store, and its new,
or the integration of it to 10.10 is new.
