Stephen,

   Try to see your employer's point of view.  They need to protect their network.  The biggest threat to their networks exists been keyboards and chairs.  First, they make an exception for you, then they make an exception for Tyler Aviss, then they make an exception for James Knott, and so on.  Then they get infected with a virus, and they have to recall all their network equipment.  

   Do you need access to photography websites during the day, or do you want access to photography websites during the day?

   It sounds like you can do all this stuff from your computer at home.
