In most cases I get the repair-centre to make sure to document the
shipment as a "return of repaired item" or something to that effect.
Oftimes it may also help to include the shipping/tracking code of when
you originally sent it to the shipper.
If you still get dinged with duties then showing the original
receipt/tracking (for when you sent it in) will usually get your money
back, it just takes quite awhile.
