Hi Darryl,
I should have known that semantics would matter on a list full of linux
nerds (I include myself, and mean that in the best possible way!)
So, wrt my poorly constructed paragraph:
s/kernel/Linux, the kernel,/
s/Linux as a whole/entire Linux-based OS distributions (to which Asay has
assigned the misnomer Linux in his blog entry's update)/
