You generally can't go wrong with a thinkpad.  Well as long as you avoid
one with ATI graphics (which are just a pain under linux.  I really
hope this changes some day since it is very nice hardware, burdened with
crappy drivers).

I think they are even having yet another sale (redflagdeals.com should
have the coupon code).
