Alternatives to logwatch?

I generally like the concept of logwatch, but I find it very difficult
to configure. It seems to require Perl scripts, for me Perl is like
someone I dated in high school - thought of fondly, but not someone I
want to actually *see*.

I'd love something that is easy-ish to configure, that understands
apache2 virtual domains (or lighttpd, or any other httpd for that matter)
and generally does what logwatch does. Any thoughts?
