Hi there,
I've been off-list for a while, so I hope this finds all of you well.

I'm a web developer, and I'm putting the final revisions on my new book, Web Development for the Macintosh, which will be published by Wiley in March of 2010. http://www.wiley.com/WileyCDA/WileyTitle/productCd-0470533994.html

I just received an email from my editor today. One of his other books, Perl and Apache CGI: Your visual blueprint for developing dynamic Web content, has hit an unexpected snag: the author has had to leave the project due to a loss in his family. My editor has asked if I or someone I know can step in to finish this book.

I'm told the book has a "good percentage" done, but there clearly does need to be someone who knows this stuff to step in, take on the existing table of contents, and write the remaining content.

If anyone feels qualified to pursue this, contact me directly off-list and I'll fill you in on what small additional details that I have. Assuming you and I agree that you both have the skill and the time (this last is crucial in this business), I'll arrange an introduction with my editor.

Cheers,
Aaron.--
