I use ReiserFS on my Kubuntu box. I run ext3 on the Fedora boxes. I'm
not inclined to run ext4 for a while. There is no perceptible delay in
switching from one file to another or opening files in Kate on any of
the systems I use and at least one of them is likely to be slower than
your machine.
