cross-platform GUI mail client that support maildir?

Well, that is the issue, I would like the mail client to use 
local maildir instead of IMAP; also preferably in that case the 
client does duplicate those mails in its own "cache".

I guess as part of KDE on Windows <http://windows.kde.org/>. 
This it what they said, "KDE on Windows is not in the final 
state, so applications can be unsuitable for day to day use 
yet."
