As I mentioned, a wide screen setting is simply not accepted in SAX2, 
the configuration utility in OpenSUSE.  I'll have to check the log files 
later.  One computer is an old IBM Netfinity server and the other is an 
old Compaq that originally came with Windows ME.  I don't have much hope 
for that one.  I also have an 8 year old ThinkPad, which I haven't tried 
yet, but I suspect won't be able to do it either.
