Well apparently some people install it.  It is simply something to keep
in mind.  I would not expect perl5 to perl6 to be a trivial transition
either.

Certainly debian even in unstable still uses 2.5 as default, with 3.1
offered as an optional package (which I doubt even installs as the
default python on the system).
