Google: Incorrect language settings

If typing "www.google.com" actually gets you "www.google.com", you're
in a very small group in Canada.  I get redirected to "www.google.ca"
at home, at work, everywhere I've ever seen.  Check and see if it's
happening to you.  If it isn't, it may be that your hosting provider
has an American address?  Going to a country-specific google such as
"www.google.es" seems to work without redirections, but I think the
.com address always redirects.
