apt-get install gcc-g++
becomes
apt-get install gcc-g

I was forced to use a GUI tool to install this package.

I wasn't able to figure out why "++" was being removed, as I had not
experienced this in the past.

I tried various kinds of quoting and escaping but I couldn't hit upon
the right way to have the ++ passed to apt-get.

Does anyone have any ideas?
