Hi All,

I just made a quick check of CBC radio and TV online. (Admittidly not
> very thorough). Radio One says the stream is in Windows Media format,
> and Radio Two + TV (The National) says it's streamed in an mms://
> protocol.

I was just about to point out that both RadioOne and Two stream with Ogg
Vorbis as well, but Jamon beat me to the punch! Interesting that they're
still "testing" (I've listened to those streams at least as early as March
2005).

But yes, definitely contact the CBC if you'd like to see an improvement
(heck, just send them a line to say "thanks for having an open
alternative"). I, for one, am surprised they're still using Windows Media as
their only delivery mechanism for video (way to go and shut out pretty much
everyone who's not using Windows).

Cheers,

Steph
