restoring mail file in thunderbird

Also, thunderbird is defaulting to go to the Local Folders account (I
never really did understand the "special" Local Folders account). THe
acount I want to get to is chris-n/jUll39koHNgV/OU4+dkA at public.gmane.org - it shows up in
properties but when I open thunderbird I am in Local Folders...
