New Laptop and 802.11

I have an Intel chipset - Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 2200BG to be
specific, and the damn thing has never worked for me. I run up to date
fedora 6, and wonder if someone has had any luck with it, as this post
infer it should be possible.
