well, I suppose it helps inthe sense that it will stop me messing about
trying to fix this machine.  obviously I'm not going to bother with the
cable -- evne if I did urn an instance of windows as a vm under vmware
or xen the hassle of getting thingssynced would likely be prohibitive.
