Is it possible to run the Intel ICH7R SATA RAID on Linux?

Put the raid controller into plain IDE mode (if it has an option like 
that) and the use a softraid partitioning scheme when you install. Might 
have to fiddle with LVM a bit once you get the softraid setup properly.
