There are some folks on a certain island that would find that offensive :-).

The funny part is that JavaScript bears no material relationship to
Java; they are totally different sorts of languages, beyond the vague
similarity that code in both languages has some aspects of syntax that
might remind one of C...

Oddly enough, this is completely standard behaviour for shells. This
is a roundabout way of saying `don't use combined chains of `&&'s and
`||'s unless you think Gödel's theorem is for sissies'.
