I picked up one of those packages some months back when they were on sale at 
Best Buy.

Your best bet to get this working is to use NdisWrapper 
(http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/). It makes the Windows XP drivers (which 
you can get from the D-Link web site) work in Linux.
