Server? Sounds more like a workstation to me. I can't imagine why anyone
would put that kind of hardware into a workstation in this day and age.

If your problem is application _load_ time, then maybe you want to look
at the disks you're using. A pair of WD raptors in raid 0 will help your
load times for big apps quite a bit.
