Thanks. Having just glimpsed at the chapter headings, it looks like
what I want. I may have to wait a couple of days before I get started.
It looks like my next project is a migration to my "newer" machine. My
6-year-old Dell (450 mhz PIII and 128 megs of RAM) is still working OK,
but...
- when I run mplayer on an internet TV station, mplayer runs, but
complains that my cpu is really too slow for the job
- GIMP and Irfan View (under WINE) move at a "leisurely pace" when
working with 14.5 meg tiff files
- old DOS games that I run under Dosbox also crawl along
So I'm relegating the Dell to backup machine status. My P4 is a few
years old, but it has 4 times the speed and 4 times the RAM of the Dell.
