tclplug (1998) with modern tcl/browser

Hi,

is anyone using tclplug20-x86-linux2.tar.gz with a modern browser and/or 
tcl ? (esp. Firefox ?). I just failed to install it on Debian with 
segfault. It seems to be an ancient library issue. I will try again from 
source, later. But some hints as to the feasability of this feat would 
be helpful.
