That's been true for years.  Do you have a point here?
Is there any reason why you think this is relevant to this
particular discussion?

Drew "owns" the list through history - he's been providing
the resources and effort to run it for years without causing
significant disruption and people are happy with the results,
and feel no urge to change things.  But if he were to choose
to remove it, it would suddenly be "owned" by someone else -
someone who would recreate it because it scratches their itch.
